Journal Article 2026 06 07 Social justice is one of the most fundamental ideals of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and one of the most important components of the political and cultural identity of the Islamic Republic. Since the formal education system plays a significant role in transmitting the values and ideals of the Islamic Revolution to new generations, examining how the concept of social justice is represented in textbooks is of particular importance. The present study aims to analyze how social justice is represented as one of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution in the 12th-grade sociology textbook, based on John Rawls's theoretical framework of social justice. The research method employed in this article is directed qualitative content analysis, in which the fundamental principles of Rawls's theoryــincluding liberty, equality of opportunity, the difference principle, the original position, primary goods, and the basic structure of societyــserved as the basis for data coding. The units of analysis were extracted from the written text, educational images, and activities of the textbook and were classified based on the intensity of reference, type of reference (direct and indirect), and the degree of relevance to the components of social justice. The findings indicate that although concepts related to social justice are relatively extensively addressed in some sections of the textbook, particularly in the lesson on "Social Inequality," their representation throughout the entire book lacks sufficient theoretical coherence, and some of the fundamental components of social justice have received less attention. Furthermore, the results suggest that there is a noticeable gap between the status of justice as one of the central ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the extent to which it is reflected in certain parts of the textbook. عدالت اجتماعی یکی از بنیادی‌ترین آرمان‌های انقلاب اسلامی ایران و از مهم‌ترین مؤلفه‌های هویت سیاسی و فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی به شمار می‌آید. ازآنجاکه نظام آموزش رسمی نقش مهمی در انتقال ارزش‌ها و آرمان‌های انقلاب اسلامی به نسل‌های جدید دارد، بررسی نحوه بازنمایی مفهوم عدالت اجتماعی در کتاب‌های درسی از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است. پژوهش حاضر با هدف واکاوی چگونگی بازنمایی عدالت اجتماعی به مثابه یکی از آرمان‌های انقلاب اسلامی در کتاب جامعه‌شناسی پایه دوازدهم و بر اساس چهارچوب نظری عدالت اجتماعی جان رالز انجام شده است. روش پژوهش، در مقاله حاضر تحلیل محتوای کیفی جهت‌دار است که در آن اصول بنیادین نظریه رالز شامل آزادی، برابری فرصت‌ها، اصل تفاوت، وضعیت آغازین، خیرهای اولیه و ساختار اساسی جامعه مبنای کدگذاری داده‌ها قرار گرفته‌اند. واحدهای تحلیل از متن نوشتاری، تصاویر آموزشی و فعالیت‌های کتاب استخراج و بر اساس شدت اشاره، نوع اشاره (مستقیم و غیرمستقیم) و میزان ارتباط با مؤلفه‌های عدالت اجتماعی طبقه‌بندی شدند. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که اگرچه مفاهیم مرتبط با عدالت اجتماعی در بخش‌هایی از کتاب، به‌ویژه در درس «نابرابری اجتماعی»، به‌صورت نسبتاً گسترده مطرح شده‌اند، اما بازنمایی آن‌ها در کل کتاب از انسجام نظری کافی برخوردار نیست و برخی از مؤلفه‌های بنیادین عدالت اجتماعی کمتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته‌اند. همچنین نتایج حاکی از آن است که میان جایگاه عدالت به‌عنوان یکی از آرمان‌های محوری انقلاب اسلامی و میزان بازتاب آن در برخی بخش‌های کتاب، فاصله‌ای قابل مشاهده وجود دارد.
